Meeting Report Saturday 1st February 2025 - Mark Burley
01/02/2025

Our year kicked off with a wow factor, as Mark presented multiple original prints from a range of subjects, including some early wet prints, then some scanned from film and also more recently taken using digital equipment. Each image was explained, how it fitted into Mark's photographic journey, the typical approach used, and often paper or technical aspects.
There really was something for everyone, and as Mark commented he still has many others to show at a later date should we wish.
For me, the images that really stuck in my mind were the series of moving dancers, where one could feel the movement using blur, yet still recognise the dancer using a selective focus technique, providing unique and interesting images.
Look up Mark at https://www.markburley.co.uk/ or specifically his B/W Portfolio at https://www.markburley.co.uk/listing
We had an excellent attendance, and general feedback has been very positive. Thankyou Mark for an excellent talk.
